Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actress. Her most well-known character was that of Skyler in the drama series of AMC, Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards to recognize Outstanding supporting Performance on a a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. Her other appearances are Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student at Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio and she continued her love of performing on theatre. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the Chicago theatre for a number of years before taking on film and television role. In 1992, Anna landed her first big character in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest Star in several TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In 2000, she was given the role of Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. The show was recast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films included her. Gunn is also a part of the stages in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the relationship he has with Skyler are mirrored in the series.
